Negroni Sbagliato

The preparation

5 steps, about 5 minutes start to finish.

  1. 01

    Add a large ice cube to a rocks glass.

  2. 02

    Pour 1 oz Campari over the ice.

  3. 03

    Pour 1 oz sweet vermouth.

  4. 04

    Top with 2-3 oz chilled prosecco. Stir gently, one or two turns only.

  5. 05

    Express an orange peel over the glass, then drop it in.

“Sbagliato means 'mistake' in Italian. A bartender at Bar Basso in Milan accidentally grabbed prosecco instead of gin, and a classic was born. The bubbles make it lighter and more refreshing than a standard Negroni.”
