A fruity strawberry margarita with fresh lime, tequila, and a sugared or salted rim.
8 steps, about 10 minutes start to finish.
Prepare the Glasses: If desired, rim the glasses with salt or sugar. To do this, rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip the rim into a plate of salt or sugar.
Mix the Cocktail Base: In a large pitcher, combine the strawberry purée (from macerated strawberries), fresh lime juice, and simple syrup (if using). Stir well to combine.
For the Cocktail Version: Add the tequila and triple sec to the mixture and stir well.
For the Mocktail Version: Simply omit the tequila and triple sec. Add a splash of club soda or sparkling water for a fizzy finish.
Serve: Fill glasses with ice cubes.
Pour the strawberry mixture into each glass, filling them about two-thirds full.
For the mocktail version, top off with club soda or sparkling water.
Garnish: Garnish each glass with a lime wedge and a fresh strawberry.
“Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup to taste, depending on the sweetness of the macerated strawberries. For a frozen version, blend the ingredients with ice to create a strawberry margarita slushie. This Strawberry Purée Margarita offers a refreshing and fruity twist on a classic cocktail, perfect for enjoying with your ribs and corn and bean salad. The mocktail version ensures everyone can enjoy this delicious drink.”
